WLD is providing a scholarship program to provide talented women in Balkh, Herat, Kabul, Kandahar, and Nangarhar with technical training opportunities to advance their skills, enhance their self-confidence, and increase their employability.
This scholarship is subject to a set of pre-specified selection criteria and a commitment to meeting the defined benchmarks. The WLD Needs-Based Scholarships Program (NBSP) for WLD beneficiaries pays for successful applicants’ training costs during the training period.
WLD Needs-Based Scholarship Program offers each successful applicant a three-month extensive training in one of the following areas:
- Information and Computer Technology
- English Language
- Office Management
- Healthcare skills
Successful applicants will receive two hours of classroom training per day in one of the selected institutions in five target WLD provinces.
- Are Afghan women and reside in one of the five target provinces;
- Have at least completed Grade 10 of schooling; and
- Demonstrate a strong academic record with a proven commitment to academic benchmarks.
