2. Echocardiogram Technician Training

9 intensive weeks training of candidates for the job of a “Echocardiography Technician”, in the “Healthcare” Sector/Industry and aims at building the following key competencies

 

·         Independently handle the latest technology relevant to heart diseases, diagnosis & treatment.

·         Gain a thorough working knowledge of echocardiography scanning techniques.

·         Be skilled in the operation of ultrasound instrumentation and laboratory equipment.

·         Acquire the proper manner in working with patients.

·         Under guidance from faculty and professional staff, become capable of scheduling and performing the daily workload of ultrasound procedures, of evaluating new procedures where necessary.

·         Know and apply the principles of sterilization, disinfection, infection control and aseptic techniques.

·         Perform non-invasive diagnostic examinations and therapeutic interventions of the heart and/or, blood vessels under supervision.

·         Ensure availability of medical and diagnostic supplies.

·         Identify and know the instruments and equipment used in different procedures.

·         Acquire sound knowledge of special procedures and able to assist in all.

·         Able to work effectively with others and have good communication abilities.

 

 

 

3. Hospital Management/Administration Training

 Requirements: Class 14 graduates with a relevant degree in business administration or a medically related field, or Class 12 graduates with relevant work experience.

Sector/Industry and aims at building the following key competencies amongst the learner

·         Demonstrate knowledge and understanding about the role of diet assistant in the healthcare Settings,

·         Demonstrate the ability to perform clinical skills essential in providing basic diet services such as supervising preparation of food & serving meals to the patient,

·         Demonstrate safe handling and management of food by following quality assurance process,

·         Demonstrate understanding patient education on dietary requirements under supervision,

·         Demonstrate techniques to show safe disposal of food waste

·         Practice infection control measures,

·         Demonstrate maintenance and cleanliness of all equipment, utensils and tools coming in contact with food,

·         Demonstrate techniques to maintain the personal hygiene needs,

·         Demonstrate professional behavior, personal qualities and characteristics of a Diet Assistant,

5. Pharmacy Assistant Training

·         Establish or maintain patient profile, including lists of medications taken by individual patients

·         Manage and maintain the drugs supply and order

·         Dispense medications according to the prescription

·         Maintain proper storage and security condition for drugs

·         Manage inventory of medicines and equipment

·         Maintain a safe, healthy, and secure working Environment

 

 

 

6. Pathology Lab (Phlebotomy) Technician Training

•     Demonstrate the ability to perform clinical skills essential in providing basic diagnostic services such as correctly collect, transport, receive, accept or reject and store blood /urine/stool and tissue samples, etc.; update patient records; etc.

•     Practice infection control measures

•     Demonstrate techniques to maintain the personal hygiene needs

•     Demonstrate actions in the event of medical and facility emergencies

•     Demonstrate professional behavior, personal qualities and characteristics of a Phlebotomy Technician

•     Demonstrate good communication; communicate accurately and appropriately in the role of Phlebotomy Technician

 

 

7. Surgical Assistant Training

·         Keep patient records and test recommended along with maintaining equipment.

·         Comprehend conventional radiological needs of patients

·         Prepare the patient and the room for the conventional radiological procedures

·         Operate and oversee operation of conventional radiologic equipment

·         Process X-ray films/ Images

·         Prepare and document conventional radiological reports
